Fall/Halloween Crafts

Well here are two little craft projects that I recently did.  First, are the Halloween Jars that I did with my girls, they had so much fun and they turned out cute.  Thanks Connie for the idea!

The second one was this Fall wreath.  I picked up the wreath on clearance and I had most of the silk flowers on hand already from other things, so with a couple of silk autumn leaves from the dollar store it turned out to be a fun cheap little venture.  I really liked the way it turned out.

Our Little Performer

Dalia had her recital clear back at the beginning of the month, but I had to post this picture, because it is so her!  I’m so glad we had her in this dance class, it has been enjoyable for all of us.

and of course her flowers she received from Daddy afterwards . . . . . . oh how she prized them, they even had to make the trip to Spring Creek with us in the car (it was interesting let me tell you).

Gage

Well, I have been a complete slacker when it comes to blogging anything, but I’m hoping to get a bit more organized with it especially since we will be moving and I want people to be able to share in some of the fun we will be having!  Anyway, I haven’t given well basically nothing when it comes to face time on our blog for Gage are new arrival of 7 months now, so I thought I would post some pictures.

Craziness!!

Okay so I'm bad at posting, but really I have been in and out of town I think every other weekend, and then life is just busy with three kids!! No pictures this post, SORRY, but when I've found time like now to sit down and just update there isn't enough time for me to upload pics, so hopefully soon. Things are good, we are alive, and between visiting family and Mat being gone we are glad to be sleeping in our own beds!! Mat was in Mississippi a week ago for work and I was in Alamo with the kids for conference and Easter. Gage is growing like a weed, he is now rolling over and the minute he can he will be on the go. Mataya has grown so much as well, she is such a little girl now and so random but we love her. Dalia is so ready for kindergarten, I can't believe she will start school this coming August, yikes I'm getting old. Things are good though and although life is busy and frustrating at times we are enjoying it! So hopefully I can post more details of trips and things later, with pics of course, but for now just wanted to let you all know that we aren't dead!

Some Favorites!

I was actually going to do a favorite things list, but as I sit down to write this or course my kids have gone out of control, so I will have to devote time to that later!! So here are just two things - that I love. First, "Dining on a Dime Cookbook" I absolutely LOVE this thing, want to do it yourself and save money with your groceries this has it all from recipes to making your own household cleaners, plus tons of great tips!! and it is all very easy stuff!! Second, "Organize Now" I actually found this because of my mom, she found and got it first. I really like how the book is set up, basically something each week to organize and by the end you should have everything done!! Great tips and really easy to follow -- I'm a list person and goal person it has to be visible and in front of me and this is like that. Anyway, two things I really like, thought I'd share! And now off to calm the crying baby.

Catching Up

Well, I have tons to catch up on, which I hate getting behind!!!!! So I'm just going to ramble on and yes maybe pictures will come later, but I don't have time to wait to load them. So Christmas was great. We stayed in Las Vegas and for the first time had Christmas at our house. Mat's parents came along with his sister and little boy Jamison. So we hosted Christmas. Christmas Eve we had our annual Bingo game and good food (alfredo pizza, bbq chicken pizza and other goodies), which was fun the Kincaids and Mat's co-worker Mike came too. Then we read and acted out the nativity -- we got everyone involved even Mike (who isn't a member) which he enjoyed it. Then we opened on present -- our PJ's!!!!
Christmas morning always seems to go by to quickly!! It was really fun though. Santa brought the girls Strawberry Shortcake dolls and Gage the traditional 1st Christmas cowboy hat. So we spent the day playing with our gifts and hanging out. For a good part of the day I prepped for Christmas Day Dinner. I was really excited to do Christmas Dinner myself and it all turned out great I was really proud of it (definetly will have to post pic of it). We had ham, scalloped potatoes, scalloped corn, rolls, salad, and apple pie.
Let see then on the 30th Mat's Aunt Wendy and Uncle Rob came with kids R.C. and Hailey to visit for the weekend. We played with them the next few days, going to dinner and breakfast and the Outlet Stores and Circus Circus. We had a good time it was really grate to see them.
On Jan. 2nd we headed out to Alamo, with my parents and then Mat's parents came. We spent the day working on Cache's graveside. We poured concrete and set his headstone, it looks very nice. It felt good to finish it and take care of him. It is really hard to believe that it has been a year since we lost our little guy -- sometimes I'm not really sure how I feel about that, somehow it feels like it went to fast.
On Jan. 3rd us and all of our family from Saturday went back into Vegas and blessed Gage. It was wonderful. The day before in Alamo I picked up his blessing outfit from Suzi, a wonderful woman who has made all of my kids blessing clothes from my wedding dress!!! She is amazing and so special we appreciate her so much!!!! His out fit was beautiful. The blessing was beautiful -- I'm so grateful Mat is a worthy priesthood holder.
Well after the world wind we got to settle down a bit. I've been trying to get into some kind of routine, hopefully I'll hit a groove soon.
Mat has been in Alaska the last two weeks, and I've been in Alamo!! He'll be home tomorrow and we are excited to get back to normal.
Hopefully I won't get to far behind anymore. I will posting some updates on Gage with some pictures. He is growing so fast and hitting those oh so fun milestones, so I've got to get those posted. Soon Soon!
