Birthday Girl!

Okay, well I'm catching up just a touch. After the Princess Tea Party, Memorial Day weekend Saturday we actually had a Birthday Party with the Family -- Grandpas and Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles. We had lunch, which Dalia chose (Macaroni and Cheese and Chocolate covered strawberries), opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Dalia wanted and strawberry shortcake princess cake -- so I used her Strawberry Shortcake doll, on top of the layer cake -- she is sitting on it in her dress, it turned out pretty good. Dalia tore through her presents -- clothes, clothes, clothes!!!!! YEAH!!! It was fun!

Princess Tea Party!

Okay, since it was Dalia's Birthday today and even though we are "celebrating" it on Saturday with the works, we invited Malia over for a Princess Tea Party -- basically to come play! They had tons of fun and were all girl. We had of course food complete with tea cups for our drinks, they colored and played in the castle and also colored jumbo princess pictures. We had lunch and watched "Sleeping Beauty." It was perfect for all of them!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! DALIA!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Dalia!! I can't believe that you are 4 years old today --it goes by way too fast. You are an amazing little girls and life would be so boring without you, you definitely keep me ground and on track with my life. You are so sweet and kind (most of the time) and very close to your Father in Heaven, which gives me strength. Love you sweetheart and hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!

Random

This is just sort of a random post where I'll probably babble on and on about nothing. There isn't tons going on, so there really isn't anything interesting to say. I have to go clothes shopping for Dalia desperately -- she has gone through a growth spurt along with the warm weather so she needs summer attire!!! It is fun getting the clothes because they are cute but not fun because you have to get them which means you have to spend the money no matter what!! I don't think that I ever posted on here, but Mat applied to the Police Department, and he has passed all of his stuff and we are just waiting now to hear how he ranked and when he start post!!! I HATE waiting!! He decided a few months ago, because of other things going on too, that the engineering thing wasn't what was best for him, and now I think he is very excited. So things are going to start getting really busy around here for him. Also on a random thought, I really miss our meal co-op/exchange we had in Spring Creek!! I think I'm going to have to start one down here with some friends. It was so nice to cook once big and walk away with other meals I could take out of the freezer quick when I didn't feel like cooking, being in a hot kitchen, was sick, or it was one of those busy days!!!! It was nice on the budget too!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, I got a lot of great recipes. Yep, I think I'm going to have to do that!

Catch Up!!!!

Okay so it has been a while since I posted so I need to catch up!

First, Easter Sunday right before we left for church, literally I noticed while taking pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses that Maty's bangs no longer existed. Dalia had found the scissors gave Maty a haircut, cutting her bangs off, a nice sized patch where the rooster tail usually is and then a few strands that were in her ponytail -- all right down as short as you can get it!!! Dalia also cut her own bangs right down the middle but not quit so short!

For Easter weekend we went out to Alamo. Friday after noon Mat and I went jeeping without the kids and he had me drive -FUN! Then Saturday we had our own little easter egg hunt and an indoor picnic since the weather wouldn't permit an outdoor one!!

CASE LOT SALE!!!!!!

Hurray, Smiths is having its case lot sale this week!! Great way to get a little food storage!! But I went today and got $307 worth of case lot items, but I only paid $184, can I say I'm soooooooooo excited!!! Come on anytime you save money it just has to make you smile -- it made my day.
