Playing with GIMP Today!!

Well, today the girls and I met Lynette Thiriot and her boys at Rodeo park to play. The kids had a great time, and it was fun to watch them just run and play and be kids. After getting a few punches, pushes, and whining out of there systems they played together pretty well. The day was beautiful and was even better when after lunch my girls crashed for naps after a long morning of fun!! So with no "real" chores to do I got on my computer and started messing around with GIMP -- which Lynette told me about and gave me the info for the download, it is basically like photoshop, but free --- MY FAVORITE. So I've had fun messing around with some old pictures learning where all the tools are and what they do. And again I can't post pictures so you'll just have to imagine my talented masterpieces.

Maty, Tristan, and Dalia

Flexing

Looking out over the Valley, long way down!

Gibson, Triston, and Dalia

Maty all on her own, and she didn't want down.

It was cloudy, and raining off and on, but the clouds were just hanging over us --
so it is misty and foggy.

Jeeping in St. George

So we left Friday after Mat got off work and headed for St. George. My cousing Willie and his wife Jessica, daughter Tristan, and son Gibson live right there in Washington, UT. We stayed with them and then all went out Saturday jeeping together. This weekend there was a Jeep convention out there, so there were jeeps all over the place. We just went out on our own, so we didn't have to wait behind tons of jeeps or make different stops -- with the kids it is just easier. Mat and Willie I think had the most fun out of everyone, trying to crawl over anything they could. It is beautiful country and it is fun to explore and see. Dalia and Maty liked all the "caves" as they called them in the sandstone. I think Mat has officially fallen in love with St. George and wishes we were closure -- especially since Willie is spoiled and has the area in is backyard, almost literally. Anyway, it was nice to get out of Vegas, although Mat does make me a little nervous -- I'm always waiting for the next thing to break on the Jeep! I've posted some fun pictures and then Mat will be posting pictures and video with the jeep club sight, with the link below on the right.

Okay, so I've been trying now for two days to upload these pictures with this post, but it won't let me for some reason. So I will keep trying to get the pictures up for everyone. Anyone else had this problem before?

Cache Norman Spieth

To all our family and friends:

The past seven months has been a rollercoaster of emotion. We found out at the end of July that Britt was pregnant with our third child. On the 6th of November we had our first ultra sound which revealed that our third child would also be our first son. We were very excited and looking forward to having our little boy. On that same ultra sound the doctor had a couple of concerns. The doctor referred us to a specialist which we saw for the first time on November 11th. The specialist said that our little boy had several problems that appeared to be the affects of a disorder called Trisomy 18 “Edwards Syndrome”. The specialist took an amnio to make sure that was problem. At the time we didn’t know what to expect. We only knew that we wanted our little boy to be with us. We scheduled another visit with the doctors to go over the test results and tried to prepare ourselves. On the 13th of November the doctors concluded that our son Cache Norman Spieth did in fact have Edwards, and that the next couple of months would be difficult. The doctors were not lying, we had several more visits and on the 16th of December we found out that Cache was starting to show signs of decreasing growth and that he would probably not make it to full term. Through a lot of prayer and council from the Doctors we decided to early birth on the 29th of December. The only thing we could do was hope and leave the rest to our Father in Heaven. On the 29th the Doctors could not find a heart beat and after a short labor Cache was delivered as a stillborn on the 30th at 11:35 am. Cache was 1 lb 3.6 oz and 12 inches long. We spent the next several hours holding our son and saying good bye. We are thankful to have been able to hold him and see his perfect little feet. We know that things won’t be easy but we are grateful for the knowledge that we will be able to see him again. The Lord never gives anyone more than they can handle and we know that we will make it through.

We will be holding a short grave side on Friday the 2nd of January 2009 in the Alamo, Nevada Cemetery at 3:00 pm.

We would like to thank you all for your love and support and may the Lord bless your lives.
