4 Wheeling and Going to the Darkside

So we loaded up the 4 wheelers and headed out to explore.  It was a very relaxing, beautiful and needed break from it all.  And of course the kids loved it – Mat too!

And yes, I’ve gone dark, and so far I like it.  Bethany you ought to be proud that I took the plunge, with bangs even.

Fairies and Little Girls

My girls love Tinkerbell, it almost goes without saying.  However this last month of October a new Tinkerbell movie was released “The Great Fairy Rescue” and the girls were very excited to see it.  Mat surprised them one Friday when he returned from his Alaska trip, with the movie and we all sat down and watched it for our annual family sleepover.  In the movie the little girl builds a house to catch a fairy, so my girls really wanted to make a fairy house.  So we did, and although it turned into an all day affair it was tons of fun to do with them.  Here are our fairy houses:

MOVE TO IDAHO!

Well the Monday after Kade spoke in church in Alamo we headed out super early.  Mat drove the moving truck and I followed behind in the car with the kiddies. So armed with the DVD player, snacks, and a promise that every major stop the kids would get to take a picture we survived the long haul! and ended up with some interesting pics.

Yeah so the pictures of when we actually arrived, and even of dropping off the moving truck are on my phone, maybe someday you’ll see them, but not tonight I don’t feel ambitious enough.

Gage Pulling Himself Up on Everything

Dalia’s First Day of Kindergarten!!!!!

Dalia was so excited to start kindergarten.  She picked out her clothes the night before, and weeks before packed her backpack with things that apparently you have to have when you go to school (mostly toys).  She literally almost skipped the whole way to school (her elementary school is around the corner and a couple blocks away from us, so we enjoying walking).  Walking Dalia to school was a family affair everyone wanted to come.  When we arrived Dalia’s teacher was out for ground duty so she got to take a picture with her.  Then Dalia showed Dad her classroom, and they found her coat hook and seat – for me this totally made me think back to my own first days of school, and don’t know for anyone else but “Ramona the Pest” flashbacks (if any of you remember having that book read to you in 2nd grade).  Well Dalia LOVES Kindergarten and is right at home.  I can’t believe she is old enough to start school, she is growing up too fast – I love this little gal so much, and I’m so proud of her!

GAGE

Gage is growing like a weed and is such a busy body.  He has basically hit every stage running, literally the day he started crawiling he tried to pull himself up on anything he could find – and the day he pulled himself up he start to try and walk along.  And if this picture right here doesn’t say it well enough, this kid likes to eat, stuff his face, he is a bottomless pit!  Oh how I love him, he just gives you a twinkle in your eye.

MATAYA

Mataya has always been a joy and she is such a little character.  It has been really fun to get to know her on a more one on one basis, with Dalia at school.  I have really enjoyed our time together, with Dalia at school and Gage usually napping we get to have fun.  This particular day we played swords, and she is a sneaky little gal. And oh yes she is totally doing the HeMan/SheRa thing – literally!

We are all doing really well.  We love it up here so far, we have a great ward, great neighbors, and we are looking forward to settling in even more.  We are enjoying having Mat work from home, it has been wonderful! It has been awesome having a backyard to play in, picnic in, and look out my kitchen window at.  We have a great garden area and I’m really looking forward to planting in the future.  We are getting used to our new ward, which consists of the 4 roads parellel to us (really tiny boundaries), but we love the neighborhood and the ward.  Mat and I have been called as the CTR 7 teachers, it has been fun we have 11 students, 8 of which are boys so you can imagine :) We have enjoyed the weather, beautiful days, even those wonderful thunderstorms – I love the rain!  We are just so blessed to have the opportunity to be here, and are just so happy.  We are looking forward to the upcoming Holiday season and yes the snow (at least right now).
